Dear Brother and Sister in the Lord,
I know the limitations of the means of communication we call language all too well. We say what is not meant, mean what is not said and above all never have the right words to properly express ourselves in a coherent manner. These frailties are only exceeded by the debauchery of the written language which cannot indicate diction or intent. It is therefore, at best, a futile endeavor to argue and speculate over words, UNLESS, those words are verbally and plenary inspired by the Spirit of the Most High God. God has no problem communicating and when His Spirit communicates from faith to faith, there can be no misunderstandings. When He spoke to the men of old who were separated unto the household of faith before the world began, His words were and are exact and precise. So when He said that He created man having his seed and his bride in him, as is evident since his bride was separated from him and his seed proceeds from him, they are therefore ‘bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh’. He could no more deny or abandon either but first he must be able to deny and abandon himself. Even if he were able to severe an arm or a leg from his body it would still be of his body no matter how vociferously he contended that it was not.
Never has anything but ‘adam’ proceeded from the womb and never any shall any more than an oak tree could produce a bird or a horse a rose bush. Eve was of man therefore she was called ‘woman’, for she proceeded from man. Cain, Able, Seth and the rest of humanity proceeded from the union of the seed of man and woman and are still bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh, try as some will to disown them.
These things are not new for the scriptures are clear in pronouncing these axioms and for those taught of the Spirit, they are as sweet as they are true. When the serpent fulfilled that which was ordained from old, he deceived the bone of Adam’ bone and the flesh of Adam’s flesh. She, Eve was created the ‘weaker vessel’ and was empowered to be deceived, while the power to discern and obey the truth was withheld from her. At this same time, she was given the eyes of the flesh to see that which was forbidden and to lust after it being in total disregard for the word of her husband as he gave her the Word of the Lord. When she took and ate she stood condemned as being deceived but note very well that her husband was there with her, “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband WITH HER; and he did eat.” If,as is presented, Adam loved his wife so much that he CHOSE to die with her, why wasn’t that love sufficient to STOP her? Adam could no more stop her than he could have denied her, being bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. He did not choose anything for the steps of man are not in himself nor is it in the arm of the flesh to direct his path. He took and ate because, as seemed good in the site of He who ordained the steps of man, he could not resist the deed nor deny himself. The Word of the Lord was “In the day that you eat thereof, ye shall surely die...”. Has the Almighty spoken and it came not to pass? Has His Word returned unto Him void or has it accomplished all the He intended for it to do?
So precious are these gems of the Holy Word of God because they, being carnal, do set forth in type and foreshadow, the position of Christ and His bride. She is in Him from all eternity and there is never a time when she is not in Him. She came forth as bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh and the children became partakers of flesh and blood. She stood secure in Him no mater what for He could not deny her and condemned in Adam’s disobedience for God has concluded all in sin (there) for all have sinned. Therefore He came forth and as the children, became a partaker of the flesh, yet without sin, that He may be the acceptable sacrifice without spot nor blemish. Yet in the fullness of time, He became sin for her and save His people from their sin. Unlike the first Adam who could not resist the created inability of the flesh, not having the power of God, Christ, could not resist the power of the Godhead, which dwelt in Him bodily, not having the corruption of the flesh, being the creator of the flesh; which was created by Him and for Him and through Him. He then fulfilled the twofold office of the one to whom the sin was imputed (literally) and the fit man who could take to the uninhabited land. At that moment He cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
The first Adam stood condemned in the disobedience he was ordained unto and his bride condemned in her deception. The second Adam, the Anointed of our God, stands faithful and righteous, for His name is Faithful and True, as He fulfilled the requirements of the Law of God to every jot and title and His bride is justified by that imputed righteousness, therefore she has peace with God, for He saw the travail of His Annointed’s soul and was well pleased. She walks by His faith and and the life which she now lives she lives by the faith of the Son of God who gave Himself for HER. If it is to be intimated that the Anointed Servant of God chose to die for His bride then it can equally be inferred that He could have chosen not to. Where is the testimony of the immutability of God and the surety of the preservation of the chosen flock? The Lamb stood as He had been slain from the foundation of the world. All these works were finished from the foundation of the world. Did it all hang on whether Jesus of Nazareth would choose to be faithful or not? Or did not He say, “Lo I come, in the volume of the book it is written, to do thy will, oh God”? Christ could not prevent His Bride from falling in the inability of Adam anymore than Adam could have stopped Eve from being deceived, for it was the eternal will of God and He cannot deny Himself.
Therefore Adam did not choose to die with Eve.
Your servant in Christ,
