Hosea 11:1

“When Israel was a child I loved him and called my son out of Egypt.”

The 12 sons of one man were forced into the land of Egypt by the hand of God in a drought and Joseph was sent there years earlier by the same loving hand. God’s complete and exact orchestration of all matters, even to the raising up of wicked Pharaoh, was God taking Ephraim by the arm and teaching him to walk. Each and every step precisely ordered sound and sure from the house of Jacob coming into Egypt for deliverance, to the subjugation and oppression of Israel whereby they cried unto the Lord who sent them the deliverer and finally to the exact point when by His mighty hand, God called His son out of Egypt and caused him to come out.

Centuries later, the Word of the Lord came to Joseph, who had fled to the land of Egypt for protection from King Herod, to come home to Nazareth and God called His Son out of Egypt. The land of Shinar again. The nation of Israel could not keep His commandments being a stiff-necked and hard-headed people though God drew them with the cords of love and treated them as the sheep of His pasture. And the God/Man Israel who could do nothing less than fulfill God’s every commandment in complete obedience to His will. The natural man cannot and will not receive or perform of his own power, since he has none, the things of the Spirit. The child of grace has been delivered from the bondage of the strong mans house into the glorious liberty of the Kingdom of Light. Strengthened by His power and according to His will, come house of Jacob let us walk in the Light of the Lord, running the race set before us with patience looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Your servant in Christ,
