Comfort ye my people.
Three times the Spirit inspires Isaiah to write, "Hearken unto me". This is no invitation as one roams the country side looking for a sympathetic ear but is the Word of the King to them that have an ear to hear. First are those who follow after righteousness. They have a dualality of existence. Not a split personality but as it were the company of two armies. One is digged from the pit and is the Adamic flesh, this earthen vessel in which they dwell. The other is the pure and holy Rock whence they were hewn. Never shall the two meet for the vessel is of the earth and it shall return unto the dust from whence it came. While the Rock is eternal and that Rock is God’s Messiah. Just as the wicked go estranged from the womb speaking lies, the child of grace comes forth from the womb following after righteousness. Those that are elect according to the foreknowledge of God, through the sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Messiah, are drawn by the eternal love of God even though they now it not. Then at His appointed time he reveals Himself to them as He did Saul on the Damascin road. To These God says Listen to me (Shama - same word as Duet. 6:4, ‘Hear of Israel’).
He then says ‘pay attention to me O My people and give ear My nation. These are they whose names have been written in the Lambs book of life before the foundation of the world; those who have been sealed with the Fathers name in their forehead; the redeemed of the Lord. They did not become His people by seeking, asking or accepting for He is found of them that sought Him not. To these is given a law which proceeds from Him. A burden which is light and an yoke which is easy not like the burden and yoke which came from Moses upon the mount, which no man could keep and which could not make the keeper thereof perfect.
Lastly He says Hear me you that are of the new covenant; who have My law written upon their hearts. The heavens and the earth and those who inhabit it shall die and be no more but My righteousness shall never be abolished and My salvation is from generation to generation.
May the Spirit of all wisdom give us to think on these things.
Your servant in Christ,
